Welcome to La Ressence
In Provence, in the middle of Parc regional du Luberon, very close to the nicest Provence villages, La Ressence invites you to relax and enjoy the Provence way of life...
Beautifull house with best hosts The house is a very peculiar large house that was originally a brewery. It is furnished by very helpful and charming hosts very affectionate with a penchant for detail. You immediately feel comfortable by the warm kind of hosts. The breakfast and especially the dinner are also prepared with love. Special emphasis is placed on local products. I recommend the Hasus without restrictions. We will certainly come back again.

Exceptional in every way We have just returned from a four night stay at Chateau de Balazuc and must say it was a highlight of our two week trip around France. We had the Ramparts Room which gave us our own balcony to sit and take in the beautiful village and surrounding views with a lovely bath and everything you could wish for including free water and soft drinks. But it was the genuine warmth from our hosts, Florence and Luc, that made our stay so enjoyable, ensuring that we visited the best sights, booking tables to eat at local restaurants, hosting drinks each evening with delicious snacks and serving the most incredible breakfast each morning. Yes the breakfast were INCREDIBLE and a real showcase for local fresh products and wonderful homemade cakes. If you are looking to stay in the area of Balazuc look no further - this is a French B & B at its best and surpassed anything we experience in a hotel. We will be back!

Perfect short holiday The accomodation, the food and the Owners were perfect. We had a beautiful room with awsome panorama to the riviera. Nadine and Jean-Yves were so friendly and they prepared us a delicious and gorgeous home made dinner and breakfast. We would certainly go back in the future.

Beautiful Auvergne retreat Just loved this place. Typically French and beautifully restored by the owners. Veronique is a great host perfectly balance between being non intrusive and there to assist when needed. The village itself again is typically French with a couple of basic bars if you fancy a walk. We opted for the evening meal option which was fantastic, four courses (a lentil starter, pork confit, cheese course and poached pear for desert). All locally produced. Breakfast was just as good with great coffee, fresh breads and the famous marmalade. The meal is eaten on a communal table with the other guests so you get a real opportunity to engage with everyone. Will definitely stay again when in the area. Thank you !

A wonderful place to stay in the Loire Valley This is an excellent base for the chateaus of the Loire. Many of them are in close proximity and there are also some good restaurants nearby. More specifically, Staying at La Folie was a lovely experience. Our room was furnished to a very high standard and very comfortable and the breakfasts that we had were superb. Christine was also an excellent host. She was so helpful and we really enjoyed the conversations that we had with her at breakfast time. We certainly will look to go back when we are next in that area.

Charming boutique hotel in top location We had a wonderful stay in this charming hotel. The owner is a perfect host and shared many stories with us. Breakfast is lovely and fresh from the bakery. The rooms are a good size each with their own individual character. The house exquisitely decorated and very stylish. It is walking distance to the metro and good shopping.

Great hosts in a beautiful home Our relatives in Toulouse recommended we stay with Pascale and Franck and we are very glad they did. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Our dinner with our hosts the night we arrived was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting about the area, places to visit, and the interesting history and renovation of La Bruyle. We enloyed our stay so much we extended our stay for another night. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous French B&B We spent a delightful 3 nights at Les Hauts De Saint Vincent and enjoyed it immensely. This is a beautiful old building brought back to life by Stephanie and her husband. It has been restored with impeccable taste and has transformed into a very comfortable, atheistically pleasing chambres d'hote. Our room "Rome" has spacious with a double aspect, spotlessly clean, comfortable with an excellent ensuite bathroom. Stephanie is a charming hostess who welcomed us into her home with genuine warmth. Good accommodation can be difficult to find in the area - this is a real jewel.

Unique accommodations in Bordeaux This is a B&B that you would more likely find in the countryside than the middle of a city. Enter through the door from a busy street that doesn't look like much, and you're in a garden leading to a lovely home, with a terrace for guests, a sitting room and beautiful dining room where breakfast is served . The rooms are spacious (my friend and I shared a twin with plenty of room, and thoughtly separated shower, sink and toilet), and the breakfast ample and high quality (homemade yogurt). Great value in a lovely city. Very well located to walking into the historical center and trams that take you everywhere.

Truly Exquisite Stay ! International Guests Friendly We stayed for a night with my wife after spending a day at the Puy du Fou. We wish we could have stayed longer. The location is beautiful and so unique. The views in the morning were spectacular. This hotel is very peaceful and great for relaxing. The decorations throughout the hotel are so creative. We loved our room and our bathroom. We enjoyed our breakfast very much and Mr and Mrs Laurent were very gracious and attentive to their guests. We asked to schedule an early couple massage before we left. It was a perfect way to start our day. We are American residents, originally from France. Believe us: you will not regret choosing this hotel!

Beautiful Property Great Location We absolutely loved Villa La Ruche. It is in a great location so that you can walk to the beach or across the bridge to a ton of restaurants, bars and shopping. Ben is wonderful, the grounds and pool are beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable and beautifully appointed. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Sublime ! My wife and I spent a wonderful night at Maison Ailleurs and recommend it to you with great enthusiasm. The suite was very large, tastefully decorated in very good taste and was immaculate. Valerie and Sean are delightful and always go the extra mile to be the perfect hosts. We look forward to our next visit!

Great place, levely mansion and garden, wonderful hosts! We really enjoyed our short stay at La Feuillaie. It is a wonderful mansion, in a small park next to a lovely stream. The hosts are very hospitable and work hard to make your stay unforgettable. We had a nice dinner in the garden, mingling with the other guests. We can highly recommend this place for an overnight stay. Or better still: stay a few days to enjoy the lovely Loire region. But the high service did not end when we left: I had forgotten my laptop and Veronique immediately offered to forward it to our next address. I am very grateful and we are sure to return.

Beautiful place Beautiful relaxing place to stay, my only regret is that being there on a business trip i could only stay over night and had to leave early in the morning. I was a bit confused upon arrival as in order to access the parking area you need to ring the bell or have the gate's access cod, but nevertheless my room, "the bambou" was wonderful, modern yet very cosy and almost home like, with direct access to the garden area with my own patio to relax a bit under the warm evening sun. For me it was almost luxurius. The only bad point being the distance from any eating point like restaurants, etc.

Fabulous This is a fabulous place to stay as a base, lovely room and bathroom with a small terrace and access to a kitchen with all facilities. We stayed here 2 nights and used it as our base to visit Versailles, lovely host and huge croissants for breakfast with jams, fruits, home made yogurts, coffee and bread if you still have room :).

Lovely place to stay We started our Cycling for Softies trip here for two days and it could not have been a better way to begin. Agnes and Eric are wonderfully friendly hosts and have created a tasteful, comfortable and relaxing place to spend time. The room was really well appointed, the garden beautiful and the breakfast especially was the best we had all week. Hugely recommended

Wow ! This is what holiday memories are made of. Fabulous hospitality, beautiful contemporary rooms with every comfort, luxurious features including your own private outdoor hot tub and sauna, and gourmet picnics baskets delivered to your door. We arrived late without a dinner reservation in town, and the wonderful Manuel put together for us a real treat of a hamper, which we thoroughly appreciated. The pool is fantastic and so are the surrounding gardens. We can wholeheartedly recommend.

Beautifully designed rural retreat We had a wonderful two days at this charming b&b. It is perfectly located for exploring the Langhe, being just a few kilometres outside the beautiful village of Neive. Nadia and her husband are both charming and helpful hosts and were extremely good at giving tips on where to eat, where to go, etc. We stayed in the King suite which was great for the two of us and our 20 year old daughter. Wonderfully spacious and clean, this room had a real fireplace, views over the rolling hills and a luxurious bathroom. The interiors of this lovely place have been thoughtfully and tastefully designed to make guests feel comfortable and at home. We thoroughly recommend a stay!

Fantastic small family run boutique hotel This is a lovely, well situated small hotel on the river in Troyes centre. The owners are a delightful friendly French couple who have renovated the hotel in the last few years. The rooms and bathrooms are huge and decorated in simple but very chic style, combining the beautiful architecture with a modern look. The breakfast was lovely and served in a beautiful room. There is a small cosy sitting room and even a small spa/gym on the lower ground floor. The owners were extremely helpful and recommended a lovely bistro for an evening meal. The town centre is beautiful and only a 2 minute walk from the hotel. There is the added bonus of plenty of on site secure parking at no extra charge. We will definitely return here.

Absolute class ! My wife & I absolutely loved our stay! Les3chambres is class from start to finish. Laurent is a fantastic host, with a wealth knowledge & friendliness. Our room was beautifully decorated - a real Parisian experience. We loved breakfast every morning! The food & conversation with the other guests was also special. Overall 5 out of 5! Thanks again, Brett & Claire Joburg, South Africa

Lovely B&B with Charming Hosts ! We spent two nights at La Réserve in May and were absolutely enchanted. Valérie, François, and some of the other family members we met were absolutely charming, and the setting in the countryside near Giverny is beautiful; it tempts one to forget the sightseeing (especially the masses at the Monet gardens) and just enjoy the tranquility at La Réserve. Our rooms were spacious and charming -- two of us stayed in the blue room, and one in the striped room. Breakfasts were huge with lots of different pastries, breads, cereal, eggs, charcuterie, and more, and they're served "communally" around the large dining room table, which made for interesting communication with other guests. We would definitely return to La Réserve for another, longer visit just to enjoy the setting and explore the area, which is beautiful.

Wonderful ! We stayed 3 nights at La Maison & L'Atelier and enjoyed it immensely. The house is beautiful , situated in a quiet village just 15 minutes from Chantilly. We travelled with friends to attend the Prix de Larc race on October 2. Clare and Carlos are wonderful hosts and made sure that our stay in their lovely home was memorable. They arranged transport for us to and from the airport, and also drove us to the races and collected us much later that evening from the restaurant! The rooms are beautifully appointed and beds extremely comfortable!Breakfast delicious , Clare is a great cook! Highly recommended!

Romantic Getaway I came across this place looking throughit the France-voyage web site which was fortunate as theirs doesn't have an English section. It's a difficult place to find but well worth it. It's quite unique and obviously concentrates on providing a romantic setting for couples. There are just two cabins on site hidden away in the large grounds. Each cabin has a hot tub and sauna. The hot tub is heated by its own wood burning stove which you are supplied with eco friendly logs. The cabins are well equipped with a small kitchen and very comfortable. On arrival you are given a full briefing on where everything is and how it all works. You can order meals which await you on arrival with some of the best wine I have ever tasted. The staff are very discreet and leave breakfast on your door step in a beautiful hamper. The cabins aren't cheap especially over a French bank holiday but the overall experience is good and it's good value for money. Unfortunately poor weather prevented us from using the pool.

A true gem of place for an overnight stop or longer. We were looking for a stopover for our return journey to The Tunnel from the Dordogne and came across this lovely property not far from the motorway and an easy 4 hour drive to Calais. The house has been restored creatively and comfortably by the charming hosts Stephan and Soizic who welcomed us with a lovely aperitif on the terrace. Our bedroom on the first floor overlooking the terrace and garden was equivalent to a suite complete with full sized sofa and was nicely decorated and the bed big and comfy. Although it was midweek and we were the only guests that night Soizic did not hesitate to accede to our request for dinner and we had a lovely three course meal and that lady is no mean cook with a lightness of touch particularly in the pastry department. Stephan served a nice drop of Bordeaux red which went down well particularly as we had spent a week there and it was a great way to round of our French road trip. Continental breakfast was delicious and we left for home in high spirits and will definitely return when next travelling to the south of France.

Wonderful Bayeux B&B in quiet location with great hosts! We stayed at Hotel Particulier Poppa for 3 nights in early September in a top floor room facing a park on one side and cathedral on the other. Sophie and Phillipe are warm and attentive hosts. There are 3 floors in the B&B. Ground level has a parlor and dining area with a lovely garden out back. Upper two floors have 2 rooms each. It is a short 2-3 block walk to the shops and restaurants in Bayeux. The breakfast is bountiful and typical of European style cusine. Highly recommend this B & B.

Excellent B&B Everything was perfect!. The care in the decoration, the super breakfast with so many details! It's the second time we go there and I warmly recommend it. Every room is large and so well decorated. The living room is a nice space to read or chat and the garden is like a farm of your own.

Fantastic and calm place a few steps from the shops We are very pleased to write a commend because it is such a tasteful decorated house and we had a very warm and very friendly arrival there. And so was the stay - very nice and intelligent people, very good beds and everything in such a high quality and taste. A calm and peaceful place, only few steps from good restaurants, shops and the old market hall. Extraordinary also was breakfast with fresh fruits and orange juice including super bread and croissants. All in organic quality.

Fantastic bijou! Last year I stayed in this wonderful B&B several times – a large part of the summer and on some other occasions (in total about 8 to 10 weeks). I really love this place and can absolutely recommend it to anyone who prefers special and personally managed accommodation. Very quiet location (but nevertheless easy to reach with public transport) and most suitable both for private and business stays. The spacious rooms are modern, very well equipped (nice furniture, lovely decorated, very comfortable beds) and they are, of course, very clean. The owner is extremely friendly, committed and helpful. To stay at this B&B is so much more convenient than in all the usual business hotels and you feel really welcome. Thanks so much and I look forward to my next stay!

Another delightful evening spent at L'Ombre Bleue We spent another lovely evening with Catherine at L'Ombre Bleue on our way back up to Calais from Limoges. This was our second visit and certainly won't be our last. Once again we were warmly welcomed by Catherine and shown to our adjoining rooms. This year our grown up daughter along with her dog accompanied us and we had the two lovely rooms at the end of the garden, which also contained a small seating area, all wonderfully decorated. After a good long walk in the nearby woods with the dog we sat down in Catherine's kitchen to her delicious food. She even catered for our vegetarian daughter. We definitely enjoyed a splendid evening with her. Breakfast the following morning was equally excellent, chocolate cake and crumble if so desired!! L'Ombre Bleue is well worth a visit. Thank you Catherine.

Magical setting ! We stayed in this lovely countryside manor for 2 nights of pure rest and relaxation. The candlelight dinners with wine pairing were delicious and we loved walking in the quaint village. To keep our trip car-free, we took advantage of Nicolas' services to pick us up from train station and take us on a wine tasting tour. Can't recommend enough!
